2020 Motivation and Goals

2020 Goals or 2020 New Year Resolutions?! I used to try and set new years resolutions but found that usually by the end of January most of them come one way or another had failed, been broken or I had just given up. If any of them involved food or Alcohol as well that made it doubly difficult as well because with my birthday being in January as well it always meant that I was struggling to do things like "Dry January" etc... I turn 40 this year and one of the things that I've been looking at is how to get my life balance back on track. It's far too easy for me to sit and scroll through social media for hours on end, going down a rabbit hole…

4 simple ways to feel better after burning out

Life can get a little difficult at times. Even for someone like me who's fairly confident and outgoing, behind the closed doors of home we all reach difficulties at some point. Burnout is a real thing, and it’s something that we should really all avoid if we’re to lead the busy lives that we do. It doesn’t matter what the situation is, too much work can ruin us mentally and physically.  Have you ever been burnt out due to work or something similarly straining? You probably have done. If you haven’t, then you’re a lucky individual – or you have great management skills! Burning out is so strange – we genuinely feel as though all of the energy has been sucked from our body. Grooming Treatments Gone wrong…

There is no denying that more and more men are becoming concerned with their appearance and trying more experimental beauty and grooming treatments. I'm now starting to follow a proper face care program making sure that I look still as good as I can for as long as I can!  But what happens when something goes wrong? You may have heard horror stories about people who have visited their local barber or tried a new skin treatment and they have experienced horrible rashes and other bad symptoms. If this happens, you will have grounds to sue the company in most cases. When it comes to personal injury cases, we all hear about the common examples, such as slips and trips and car crashes. All you have to do is turn…

A day at Wicksteed Park!

Wicksteed park isn't your usual "Theme Park". It's not got the fast rides that you might find at other places in the UK, but for me Wicksteed holds a very special place in our family history. With my grandmother growing up in the town of Kettering, Wicksteed was very much part of her childhood. As I grew up in Cambridge, Kettering wasn't a million miles away for the school holidays. Thus when my cousins used to come to stay we got bundled into the back of the car and taken to Wicksteed for a day out with my Grandparents. Wicksteed Park was founded by Charles Wicksteed. He set up Charles Wicksteed & Co. Ltd in 1876, which produced items such as the first hydraulic hacksaw, the original automatic gearbox, sawing machinery,…

Indy 500 Race Day 2019

So I've dreamt from an early age about going to the Indianapolis 500. The Indy 500 as it's known, Le Mans 24 hours and then Monaco Grand Prix are know as the triple Crown motorsport it's true test of men and women against the machine. Only a few drivers have won all three races, and famously Fernando Alonso tried in 2017 and again in 2019 (although he failed to qualify for this years race) The Indy 500 forms part of the Indycar Championship which takes place over USA and Candian race tracks. I start first started watching the CART Racing Championship (the name before Indycar) when Nigel Mansell went from being Formula One champion 1992 and then he headed to the USA for the 1993 CART Championship. In the days…
