Caught my first American football game with the @rams , and wow—what an experience that was! The stadium was buzzing, with energy that I wasn’t expecting. Some 80,000 fans chanting and enjoying the game. This wasn’t just a game; it was a full-on experience that many fans spend hours enjoying. You can see why it’s such a popular sport over here. Watching football on TV doesn’t come close to being there live. Now, I totally get why they call it game day magic. Safe to say, it was a unique experience for sure!! 💙💛

Realised that I missed the one month anniversary of being here in #losangeles. Some days it feels like I have been here months and months. Other days feels like I have only been here a week. It’s been a lot of hard work with meetings most day from 6am (some 5.30) right through to 6/7pm. Lots to take in, lots to work on, and lots to drive forward. Of course though I have tried to do a lot of things along side that to make the time here enjoyable at evenings and weekends. Having been to a couple of @dodgers games, a @lafc game, the @petersenmuseum, @indycar as well as a bit closer to home the @santamonicapier. I have been made to feel so welcome by colleagues and friends. Got a few days in Vegas coming up, some @nascar and then hopefully will catch @lakers game. It’s been an utterly amazing experience being here and just grateful to be given the opportunity by my company to do this, even for a couple of months…

Second part of my weekend was @nashvillesuperspeedway for the @indycar championship final which saw @alexpalou crowned a 3 time champion in the series. Having also done the @indianapolismotorspeedway #indy500 this year it was great to see another race! Also got myself paddock pass and it’s such good value to be able to get up close to all the teams, cars and drivers. #indycar for me really is the best value and exciting racing on the planet!

36 hours in Nashville. Was meant to watching the baseball @nashvillesounds but sadly the weather got the better of the match. Then onto the @nashvillesuperspeedway on the Sunday for a full on day of @indycar racing and to see the end of the season! So tired at the end of the busy weekend but was great weekend away!

Route 66 Texas is an odd one. Obviously in the USA it's one of the biggest states but apart from Route 66 Kansas it's the second shortest part of the route. It's also got a few towns (with the main one being Amerillo) that you go through. However unlike other states there is very little in between. The other main point for Route 66 Texas is that you have hit the half way point in the journey! It's hard to believe that this is the case because the gaps between the things in California get bigger. As a person from the UK Oklahoma has one thing in my memory which is the tragic bombing of 20+ years ago. We paid a visit to the site which I'll talk about below. After leaving the smallest state in Kansas Route 66 we head to Route 66 Oklahoma! It was really noticable to see how the states were different. This sounds like an odd statement I know to make but in the way of the towns, the make up of the farm land and just what you saw. As you move further West on the route you see how each different state treats Route 66 and what they have as important. Oklahoma is no different to this. If you've not read about Illinois or Missouri you can read about these parts of the route from the Route 66 master page. We now enter into Kansas. Kansas is the smallest of the Route 66 states and if you didn't stop you could drive it in 10 minutes. However there is lots of reasons to stop! If you've ever seen the Disney film franchise Cars the town of Radiator Springs has had a large amount of influence of both Galena and Baxter Springs.
