I'm back...
I'm back.
I wrote a post about blogging in COVD times back in early 2021. I wasn't really sure where life was going and taking me. Jo and I were getting married. Life was super busy (and that's not changed at ALL) and I think that I was just suffering from blogging burn out. I wasn't really enjoying working on this site any more and I was finding it a little bit of a chore.
So what's changed....
Well Jo and I have got married! We've got a beautiful little furry friend now called Max who joined us July 2021. My work continues now to go from strength to strength. I'm probably travelling more internationally than I've ever done. I'm rapidly heading towards my "mid 40's" which is scary to say the least...
However in the last few months and weeks I've been thinking a lot about the blog. I never said that I would be stopping for good, but I was feeling that I didn't know where to move it forward. But recently thanks to my job taking me to some amazing places, and also having some really incredible and lucky opportunities I've realised that I would like to write about these.
Myself and Jo are looking to start a family - and I know there are experiences that I've been through that I would like to share with my kids or things that I would like to look back on and remember. Some of those things are of course private and will stay that way but there are other things and events that I've done that I know others would be interested in.
What have I been upto?
Well I talked about it in my 2021 goals post that we were hoping for the Monaco Grand Prix. We sadly didn't make that in 2021, but we did make it in 2022. In 2023 we also made it to Daytona 500, a trip up PCH on the West coast of the USA. I hope that I'll have time to put some "reflective" posts up about those - as these were truly amazing trips.
Jo and I have been lucky to travel the world as well for work, and as I write I've come back from the USA a couple of weeks back (and there is a post coming on the back of that) and in the next few weeks I've got trips to Denmark, Dubai, Holland and the USA in the diary. I'm sure there will be others as well that will come back.
The future
I can't and won't at the moment make a commitment to a post a week and loads and loads of content but I also know that I want to be putting things out there again and I'm excited by that. I'll try and do those "catch" up posts and I'll also be looking to highlight some of the other things that I'm involved in take part in all things that shape and guide my life.
I hope those who've read my posts in the past will enjoy what's going to come and I'm looking forward to this journey again.
