Caught my first American football game with the @rams , and wow—what an experience that was! The stadium was buzzing, with energy that I wasn’t expecting. Some 80,000 fans chanting and enjoying the game. This wasn’t just a game; it was a full-on experience that many fans spend hours enjoying. You can see why it’s such a popular sport over here. Watching football on TV doesn’t come close to being there live. Now, I totally get why they call it game day magic. Safe to say, it was a unique experience for sure!! 💙💛

Realised that I missed the one month anniversary of being here in #losangeles. Some days it feels like I have been here months and months. Other days feels like I have only been here a week. It’s been a lot of hard work with meetings most day from 6am (some 5.30) right through to 6/7pm. Lots to take in, lots to work on, and lots to drive forward. Of course though I have tried to do a lot of things along side that to make the time here enjoyable at evenings and weekends. Having been to a couple of @dodgers games, a @lafc game, the @petersenmuseum, @indycar as well as a bit closer to home the @santamonicapier. I have been made to feel so welcome by colleagues and friends. Got a few days in Vegas coming up, some @nascar and then hopefully will catch @lakers game. It’s been an utterly amazing experience being here and just grateful to be given the opportunity by my company to do this, even for a couple of months…

Second part of my weekend was @nashvillesuperspeedway for the @indycar championship final which saw @alexpalou crowned a 3 time champion in the series. Having also done the @indianapolismotorspeedway #indy500 this year it was great to see another race! Also got myself paddock pass and it’s such good value to be able to get up close to all the teams, cars and drivers. #indycar for me really is the best value and exciting racing on the planet!

36 hours in Nashville. Was meant to watching the baseball @nashvillesounds but sadly the weather got the better of the match. Then onto the @nashvillesuperspeedway on the Sunday for a full on day of @indycar racing and to see the end of the season! So tired at the end of the busy weekend but was great weekend away!

The Final stay of 2016 saw me staying at the Mercure Nottingham City Centre hotel. The hotel is situated right in the middle of the city centre. When walking into the room you can see the free ear plugs (as well as the extra double glazing) – a nice touch but a clue its where it is! The hotel dates back many years and thus off the main corridors it’s a network of small passages and landings to finding the room rather than a more modern planned layout. Mercure Dartford Brands Hatch Hotel & Spa is set in the beautiful countryside close to Brands Hatch motor racing circuit, where you can take in a whole hosts of motorsport events (a good favourite of mine as a proper petrol head!). Located just a few minutes drive from London Golf Club the M20 and M25 Motorway. There is a good sized pool, spa and gym facilities on site. The Brigstow hotel is set on the banks of the River Avon, very close to the city centre and some of the best bit's that Bristol has to offer! Some great restaurants are within walking distance, the @Bristol science centre is close by if you want something to do and if you are looking for a bit of evening entertainment the Bristol Old Vic and Bristol Hippodrome are again both within 5 min walk. The Mercure Edinburgh Haymarket is one of the newer hotels that I’ve stayed in in recent weeks and months. Ideally located near the heart of the city offering easy access to, the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, the Haymarket train station and Princes Street. For evening entertainment the Kings Theatre, Traverse Theatre and the Usher Hall are also close by. The booking that I made was quite last minute and therefore I was provided with only a twin room.
