Caught my first American football game with the @rams , and wow—what an experience that was! The stadium was buzzing, with energy that I wasn’t expecting. Some 80,000 fans chanting and enjoying the game. This wasn’t just a game; it was a full-on experience that many fans spend hours enjoying. You can see why it’s such a popular sport over here. Watching football on TV doesn’t come close to being there live. Now, I totally get why they call it game day magic. Safe to say, it was a unique experience for sure!! 💙💛

Realised that I missed the one month anniversary of being here in #losangeles. Some days it feels like I have been here months and months. Other days feels like I have only been here a week. It’s been a lot of hard work with meetings most day from 6am (some 5.30) right through to 6/7pm. Lots to take in, lots to work on, and lots to drive forward. Of course though I have tried to do a lot of things along side that to make the time here enjoyable at evenings and weekends. Having been to a couple of @dodgers games, a @lafc game, the @petersenmuseum, @indycar as well as a bit closer to home the @santamonicapier. I have been made to feel so welcome by colleagues and friends. Got a few days in Vegas coming up, some @nascar and then hopefully will catch @lakers game. It’s been an utterly amazing experience being here and just grateful to be given the opportunity by my company to do this, even for a couple of months…

Second part of my weekend was @nashvillesuperspeedway for the @indycar championship final which saw @alexpalou crowned a 3 time champion in the series. Having also done the @indianapolismotorspeedway #indy500 this year it was great to see another race! Also got myself paddock pass and it’s such good value to be able to get up close to all the teams, cars and drivers. #indycar for me really is the best value and exciting racing on the planet!

36 hours in Nashville. Was meant to watching the baseball @nashvillesounds but sadly the weather got the better of the match. Then onto the @nashvillesuperspeedway on the Sunday for a full on day of @indycar racing and to see the end of the season! So tired at the end of the busy weekend but was great weekend away!

I love a good Indigo Hotel! Of all the reviews you'll find on this site - the Indigo brand is one of my favourites. So when the team at Hotel Indigo Bath asked me to do a review for them of their newly opened hotel I was more than willing! The Indigo hotel chain which is part of the IHG group of hotels is their more boutique brand. Not so much copy and paste like you might find in a Holiday Inn. More the type which plays on local history, the local styling etc... Earlier in 2020 I stayed at Hotel Indigo Stratford and this was an excellent example. I've always liked Bath as a city, it's probably because I spent a load of my childhood growing up and living in Cambridge that I've always found the city to be a great place to visit. The mixture of the old stone work, the historical buildings, the narrow streets, and all the charm that this brings always makes for a nice trip to Bath. There are a few Mercure Hotels in Bristol, but by far my favourite of the bunch is the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel. Set close to the shops and a number of fine restaurants the Grand has recently been refurbished and mixes some quirky and designer styling with a very practical and comfortable offering. First impressions on walking into the hotel foyer is that this is something a bit different to other Mercure hotels. With nice designed lighting (love good lighting in a hotel!) some beautiful art work and then a non standard reception desk - it's all pointers to something a little better! The Brigstow hotel is set on the banks of the River Avon, very close to the city centre and some of the best bit's that Bristol has to offer! Some great restaurants are within walking distance, the @Bristol science centre is close by if you want something to do and if you are looking for a bit of evening entertainment the Bristol Old Vic and Bristol Hippodrome are again both within 5 min walk. The room was clean and tidy and very presentable as a business hotel.
